Skype 8.10.0.4 definitely improved the situation. The Skype dialpad doesn't work for automated operators, so I use a Tandy Pocket Tone Dialer next to the microphone. I'll automate now that I know this works. I click on the Input Devices tab and set the volume to 50%. I bring up the pavucontrol, click on the Configuration tab and turn off every profile except the Logitech USB Headset, and then I never found fixes, but I have a work around. It does seem to be a popular problem at MS skype forum and the Linux Mint folks seem to be vocal.Īny thoughts on what I can try or what worked for you? I am not sure why it says "Chrome input" and why there is left/right control when the mic is mono. The image shows pavucontrol for the mic when using skype.

The previous versions of Skype worked fine. I do the Echo Test and everything works fine (I can hear and the mic works).īut when I make a call, the other side can not hear me (voice or keypad).Įverything looks okay in pavucontrol.
